Is anyone elses business FB page being bombarded by multiple profiles commenting on posts? I have been getting a ton of comments from fake profiles lately linking people to a page on FB called silicone baby dolls near you. It seems like a newer page and for now they have comments open on their stolen photos. Its just frustrating and its hard to keep up with the blocking and deleting.
Does anyone know how to turn off comments on posts on a business page by chance? I tried to figure it out but it only gave me the option to switch each individual post to people who are “established followers” who can comment. I would have to go post by post to change it that way. Im hoping there is an easier way but im not too tech savvy.
Yep almost every day I have to block a spam account. I try to catch them right away but if I don’t they comment spam links over and over on my posts. It’s so frustrating
Its super frustrating. Especially when it isn’t caught fast. I always wonder how many people clicked the link. It seems like FB doesn’t always notify me of comments. Either that or I am somehow missing the notifications.
This is the bane of my existence lately! I get so many reccomending Regina Nursery, a scam page. And of course too many to list variations of silicone reborn baby pages. I spend hours every day reporting, blocking, deleting. I went into moderation assistant and there’s an option to automatically hide comments based on keywords. I added a bunch of words and phrases that are used in their spam comments. This has cut them down in the last few days by about 80% I like that it just hides them, so I can review them, I’ve only had 1 comment that I unhid because they just happened to use one of the words I blocked. Like Pia said you can also hide links people post, it doesn’t work if they are tagging scam pages, but if they enter a link is a good measure. By country, if they have no friends or followers, if their account is less than a day old, if they have been reported 3 times for spam in the past. They might have more options, but those are the ones I can remember.
Same! I normally get a few everyday, but the last 2 weeks have been insane! 2 days ago, I blocked over 60 accounts in one day! I use moderation assist - have 26 words/phrases blocked, links, etc, but they still get thru. I’ve noticed several yesterday would tag a link, but the very last letter in the link isn’t highlighted, so it wasn’t automatically blocked. I’ve also found that it might block some of the spam comments from the same person, but one or two might not so I have to go in manually and delete every single comment to be sure! It’s exhausting and I spend literally hours of my day blocking and deleting!
***edited to add, that @Emma s regina nursery found me yesterday, and if any of you get hit by Paul Lacamera, your in for a doozie! He has hundreds of profiles! I blocked 110 accounts of his, and more have cropped up since. He has so many there are literally groups because of his spam accounts! It’s beyond ridiculous! ***
