Sometimes when I respond to a post it attaches to the post with the person’s name. Other times it doesn’t connect and you can’t tell what it goes with. It’s making me crazy.

It only connects if it is NOT the comment directly under it.
I hit the reply button that’s on the post (1st picture).
If it’s directly under the comment you won’t see that you’ve replied to it, but the person will still get a notification that you’ve replied to them.
If it’s further down you will see that you’ve replied to them.
