A foolish moment a week ago, left me with a broken arm. Does anyone have ideas that would help me paint. Kits are waiting along with a 90 year old mommy that wants a baby.
Maybe you could use some sort of a clamp to hold the pieces. I’m not sure. Sorry that happened to you.
Oh, no! I have no tips for you but wanted to let you know I feel your pain.
I found one-handed clamps on Amazon. Not sure of it’s your non-dominant arm you broke?
Sorry you broke your arm. We don’t truly appreciate all our body parts until we have to do without one. Are your fingers sticking out of the cast? Can you hold the parts with that hand and paint with the other?
I’m so sorry to hear that you broke your arm!! I honestly don’t have a clue how to paint one handed but I hope you find a way. Praying for a speedy and full recovery!!
Oh no! How long will it take to heal? I’m praying for a speedy recovery so you can get back to two handed painting.
So sorry you broke your arm. Prayers for quick recovery.
Ladies, you are the best! Thank you for you ideas, prayers and compassion. Thankfully, I can use my dominate/right hand, but doctor reprimanded my left/broken arm not to grasp anything at this time. @kristi, I will check into the Amazon one hand clamps.Thank you.
I hurt my hand on Friday night so I’d like to know too lol
@MilosMeadows sorry to hear that you also hurt your hand. My prayers are with you.
Thanks, I hope your arm heals quickly as well!
I got to see my niece and nephew today so I’m happy, but you can see in the pics that my hand is hurt lol
Praying for a speedy recovery! I pounce too hard and would never be able to paint with one hand! I feel for you!
Could someone make you a wooden turntable with a dowel in the middle to hold the limb or head? The head could be stuffed with polyfil to make it more stable, and maybe that might work for the limbs too? Maybe you could paint and let each piece dry on that? So sorry you can’t use your other hand right now. I’ve had hand surgery in the past and know how much you miss having both! Hope you heal really fast and can get back to your normal living!
@2layz, I really love your idea. I have a wooden lazy Susan to attach the dowel. It is a start. Thank you for the idea and well wishing.
You can send it to me! Oh My I know how mommy’s love the babies. I am not doing anything right now and can do it for you
You are too sweet.
I am serious I will di it for you
I just lost my mother in law and she really loved her baby I made for her…The baby was real for her
Thank you, little angel. I also need to find a way to focus my life. Icing an arm gets old. I will definitely consider your generosity as I try to see what I can do. Bless your heart.
