The lovely and quite generous @Leabelle created a reborn for my friend whose son had died. It was mailed in July and it’s still not to my friend. She lives in the UK. Here’s some mailing info regarding it and some info from Canada mail about when it should be received.
I just DMed her and she said it hasn’t moved.:
This is the tracking number:
Is this common for it to take so long? Is there anything my friend can do to move it along or maybe find out what happened to it or where it is? My friend said it shouldn’t take to long to get to her once it’s in the UK. Any suggestions, please?
And just to show how closely @Leabelle was able to create a reborn to match baby Wilber:
On Canada Post they said about 1-2 months to Europe, and then, it can stay a while in customs. They can’t guarantee or even guess how long it can take now. At least it’s showing in transit today, so it’s not lost !
Sorry for your friends loss! I have no advice on the shipping, but @Leabelle your work is stunning. That baby will get plenty of love!
And if you can just cut the picture with my address in it I will grandly appreciate
Something things can move slow. I ordered 2 Ferdinand kits from Germany within a week or 2 of each other. One came 2 weeks later and one came 3 months later because it was in customs.
I tried to see if it was readable but I couldn’t even with my glasses on so I thought it was ok. I’m so sorry! How do I fix it?
The times that I shipped babies to the US and they sat there without moving and was taking three or four times as long as it should, I opened a ticket and each time I did that two days later the baby was delivered. It’s like they put my package in the corner somewhere and forgot about it and opening the ticket just reminded them that they had to move it along. Not sure if it would help in this case but it seems to help when I ship to the US
I sent a package to someone in the U.K. and it took 2 1/2 mos. for her to get it. It got into the country within a week but somewhere between London and Yorkshire County, it sat for over a month! I also sent one there that was supposedly “lost”. I was told that there’s a lot of mail theft in the U.K. but luckily had it insured.
Do you want me to erase it? I don’t know how to cover your address. I’m really sorry.
That’s ok, maybe just erase the picture. When you click on a picture it enlarge, so it’s easier to read. I just wanted to keep a little privacy, you never know who may read a forum
I am sure your friend will receive him soon. It can’t be in the limbo forever !
Why you don’t call the postal services . They can track down a parcel and send emails to whenever the parcel is so the parcel will move ??
I had messed up a zip code once as I got the wrong one . Parcel turned back and went different direction then It supposed to Go . No one who noticed took the time to update it . Phoned in they tracking down where it is heading then they sent an email there and asked to be updated … shortly after the parcel was moving to the right direction .
Canada to USA now takes 3 days longer .
Canada to UK or europ yo Canada If parcel sent by air which is expensive can take up to two weeks . By land which is on boat the cheaper option can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months .
Usually my sister gets my parcels from Canada to Europa in 2 months
I live in the USA and the package was mailed from Canada. I don’t have any info from the mailing other than what was previously posted.
But thank you for the suggestion!
And thank you everyone for your input! She’s been having such a hard time for awhile now and I just wish she had reborn Wilber with her to help her thru it, you know?
Fingers crossed the package will show up .
I had a couple of things shipped to me from Canada and it seemed like it took forever. Tracking seemed to stall in Cali. It didn’t advance until it hit the main hub near my city. It was a but crazy. lol. They were late but when tracking finally got scanned again it seemed fast.
