Any BJD artists?

Any of you paint legit BJDs?

Where do you find legit kits?
Do they make larger ones?
Are they crazy priced?

I have an alternative idea I want to do some day but want a mature look. So need non-baby/toddler

Thanks :slight_smile:

at the old IDTS shows they had BJD artists there as well as Teddy Bear artists. I miss seeing the BJD dolls. They were pricey but I always loved to look at them. They would have plain ones you could add to there you could buy.
Here are some photos I took in 2016

Those are sweet.

I know they have illegal knockoffs just like we do so I dont know what sites are legit, etc.

Good question. I would assume there are some FB groups you could join. I know Susan Gibbs has collected them you could ask her. Pat Moulton has made a few.

I did a search on the Dolls magazine website for BJD artists and this is what I got;

Thanks Angie. I just watched a lady’s video of assembling one of hers from that link. So neat.

This is from r/bjd. Probably a good source of information if you use Reddit.

I would love to try my hand at them, but I’m having trouble finding a good place to buy them from within Europe. Most of it is the US, and shipping and import costs and such are insane.
