Amount of pix on listing

What do you think of listings that the asking price is up around $1,000 or better that only have 5 or 6 pix?

I scroll through looking at these babies and look for closeups showing details etc. not many artists do that .

I was just looking at Johannah bc I’m getting ready to list mine and there is one (re-sale) on there with only 4 pix.

I suppose a potential buyer could message and ask for more.

I always put about 50 pix on my EBay listings and it is hard for me to do only 20 on Dave’s site :joy:

One thing I also don’t like is whatever he is using to upload the pictures seems to change the quality???

I usually do about 9 or 10. Trying to get closeups and such.
But yeah, 5 pictures isn’t really enough.
As for quality, I think they seem to be a little grainier than they used to be

I found one of my older dolls and screenshot shot it to send to someone the other day. What I was trying to show wasn’t showing so I opened it all the way up. It was too blurry to show anything.

There needs to be some compression of images on websites to keep them snappy and to control costs. The more compressed the images the better as far as these things go, but this is expensive art we are talking about here so there are limits to this. Or should be.

I think it’s a little strange. If I’m spending that much money on a doll I want to see everything in as many pics as the seller is willing to show it in. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Then again, some artists can get away with it. When I bought one of my keeper babies over this price I did it off of two face shots. I was familiar enough with the artist’s work that I knew everything would be fine.

I will never paint prototypes, so this is what I’d consider to be worth celebrating as far as my dolls go. This kind of reputation.
