Hi! Rue again. I have been watching videos and doing a lot of research today, and I came across an idea I absolutely LOVED! An artist I came across makes custom dolls by having mommies or couples send in pictures and she makes dolls based off their appearance. A “sonogram” can be provided of the kit if requested, but the gender and everything else is totally secret! (Of course you choose open eyes or closed eyes, rooting or not, etc). I fell in love with this idea! Would love to do it with a full silicone

Are the pictures of their own real babies? How do they do those ‘sonogram’ pictures, anyway? Anyone know?

I’ve done photo match dolls. The issue is, there isn’t an exact match for every face. That could lead to disappointment when the doll doesn’t look “Enough” like the real child.
That said, if you can get a close match, go for it. Just don’t promise an exact match unless you’re a sculptor. lol!

If I was going to pay what a silicone baby costs, I’d want to be the one to choose what it looks like. It’s an appealing idea, but parts of it seem to be a little risky. I’ll bet there would be couples who would like to have a reborn that looks like a mash up of both their features though. I’d love to see them if you do it!

The sonogram pictures were of the kit used. And the pictures were of the purchasing mommy and/or daddy, so it’s a surprise
I totally thought about that too. For the amount of money, I’d like to know what I’m getting. I’d have to see a LOT of work from the artist first lol but in a perfect world, it would be such a cute idea!

I know the sonogram is of the kit used but I wonder how they get an actual sonogram picture. It sounds like it could be fun, and I like the idea of it, but I, too, would be concerned about what I’m getting without seeing it first.
