My daughter is wanting a fully silicone baby doll. Is there anywhere I can get one for $200 or less?! I know they aren’t cheap but can’t spent more than that for a toy. I saw that Ashton Drake has some for less than $200. She really wants eyes closed with blonde hair and a mouth that can squeeze open for a bottle or pacifier. Anyone have suggestions?
Thank you so much!
I don’t believe that exists unfortunately. Silicone dolls are incredibly expensive and I doubt any legitimate seller would sell one for that cheap unfortunately.
Ashton Drake silicones are okay, I believe. But they’re not nearly as realistic or high quality as an artist made doll. I don’t know the longevity of Ashton drake silicone dolls either. Someone else may know this.
Also, depending on her age, silicone may not be appropriate for her as it can be fragile.
Ashton drake silicones are okay, but they’re intended for collectors, not children’s toys.
Silicone is very prone to ripping and must be handled super carefully. It should also be powdered often and its not that good for it to bathe it often.
If you’re looking for a children’s toy, I’d look elsewhere.
Maybe try a berenguer or Antonio Juan doll. They have very cute realistic looking toy dolls.
Silicone is not cheap. And artist made dolls are not toys. Since you clearly state you can’t spend more than 200$ for a “toy.” I suggest sticking with toy dolls at Wal-Mart or Target.
These dolls are meant for collectors. Not children.
That said. Wal-Mart has some cute vinyl babies.

That’s just it, silicone dolls are not toys. They are collector’s items. To get a nice one made from decent silicone you will pay thousands. The ones in your price range are usually cheap China illegal copied crap made from silicone that may or may not be hazaardous. Most of the Ashton Drake dolls are their So Truly Real vinyl which is a very soft vinyl that feels squishy. Those are great for kids play dolls and will run about $150-200. I have seen Ashton Drake produce some silicone dolls with cloth bodies and I think they run pretty reasonably priced. That is what I would recommend for a child. Not sure about the open mouth though. Just be sure if you buy one you are getting the silicone they produce and not the soft vinyl.
Goodness, I mean’t this for the original poster
Thank you everyone for your feedback. She has an Ashton Drake vinyl doll we love it. She is a very mature and careful girl and takes super good care of her AD doll. She wants a baby brother or sister so very bad and cannot have one so she ask for a silicone baby instead. I keep finding all those cheap ones (scams I’m sure). But wanted to find her a real one that is legit. We will keep watching maybe we will find a collector that is selling some Thank you again for your feedback.
Keep checking ebay, Someone may have a used one in your price range. It may not be in great shape, but you never know! Also, be sure it’s smoke free, as that would be a deal killer for me on anything lol
This lady makes legit silicones for an affordable price. They are on the smaller side though and she readily admits that they are not perfect. Maybe they would be a good starter for her http://kimbrydolls.blogspot.com/p/current-editions-and-price-list.html?m=1
For a child, I would stick with Ashton Drake.
If your really set on silicone, the absolute cheapest I’ve seen (that are NOT scams or illegal made junk) are micro preemie silicones, which are around $500 from kimbrydolls (Etsy and Facebook)
And silicone snuggle babies are around $350 ish last o checked. These aren’t newborn size tho, they are 10"-14"
Ashton Drake has one for a little over 300 that cry’s and breathes.
