I would recommend some blushing and a few burnt umber washes to warm her up.

I agree that she needs blushing and I would probably darken the mottle or make the skin tone a little more vibrant. Maybe a very thin wash or two…i’m thinking it is burnt umber I am trying to think of but not sure and can’t find the jar of what I use. Sorry I am not more help. I just used a wash of fesh 06 to warm mine up a tiny bit. Very thin wash!

Thanks for the advise.I think I am going to just quit for the day, I have been working on her for the past 8hrs and maybe if I take a break I can do a better job tomorrow.I really need this one to be perfect!

Taking a break helps, and I recommend blushing, creasing, and some warm washes like the others have. Those should bring her to life.

this is after another layer of blush and creases I have used a strawberry crease color should I go darker?

Nooooo! Don’t put the baby in the washer!

Maybe a bit darker in the creases, I think. She’s coming along nicely.

Lol! Believe me, washing machines do not strip paint off! I should know, I am the queen of stripping!

But baby looks better. Creases are a matter of opinion. Some like them well defined and others like theirs barely shaded. Biggest thing is too make sure you remember to pounce them too so they don’t get chalky.

Give the baby a burnt umber wash and look at it again. It might take more than one wash.

Will the wash cover all the other work I have already done? Will I have to redo blushing, creases that kind of thing?

No. You do it really thin. All it does is warm up and connect all the colors you have already done. Be sure and pounce it well with a wedge so it is nice and thin and even. You’ll love it, I promise. Washes are what make everything come together and come to life. If your doll was too red you would also do one of earth mint but I don’t think you need that from what I can see.

Ok this is how it’s going. Do you think I should keep the hair longer and make it a girl or cut it and stick with a boy?

I just have one small bit of advice for the future about the green between the eyes…It is great to use the green because it is softer than some of the other colours like blues and darker purples that some ladies use but when you are ready to apply it, I would suggest mixing in some white before you apply it to soften it just a little so that it is not as prominent. The phthalo green mixed with a bit of white and applied very thin and blotted with your mop brush will give a more natural look if thin skin… now that you have added the extra washes it does look much nicer

You will want to mix it so that goes from the colour on the left to the colour on the right…

That’s actually vein blue between the eyes not sure why it’s showing up as green. Thanks for the advise.
