Has anyone done the Apricot Love-a-lot skin tone by Brooke Nicole? I have the skint tone sheet and her preparation and depth and detail tutorials. but I just can’t figure out where I’m supposed to place some of these colors. Lile Midtones is also called undertones. Or medium shadows? I’m completely confused. Any help would he awesome. Thank you.
Forget it. I think I found the part if the tutorial I was missing. only question now is. Do I layer these colors or not?
I have some of her tutorials. It it stay, stacking layers, then yes, you layer them.
So I should layer them before I do any shading? Sorry to sound so stupid but this is going to be my first AA baby.
On closer look it seems she wants me to layer them as mottling.
Is she still in business, I couldn’t find anything active by her? What do you think of her tutorials?
In all honesty they aren’t for beginners, or someone who hasn’t tried AA skin tones. But…I like to live dangerously.
She has an Etsy page that says she is taking a break. You can buy skin tone sheets from her. I think they are $29 each. And you get one sheet with a picture of the finished baby in that skin tone and a list of colors and swatches and what the colors are used for.
Then there are her “full” tutorials. They cost $99. I have the kit preperation one, the advance shading, and depth and details. Each one was $99 I think.
I wish it was video. As I am better at visual learning.
I do have a number of tutorials from Realborn.net. and those I love. They have all different skin tones and types.
I don’t think she’s doing reborning anymore.
I think I have that one. Let me take a look.
No, doesn’t sound stupid.
I sent her a message on etsy and she said that yes the layering is actually done with mottling sponges.
So odd. I did buy them a while ago. About 4 years. So maybe they aren’t in business anymore.
