This artist does 3D hair using what appears to be heat set thick medium. It looks pretty amazing, and even has a little bit of shine like real hair. Has anyone tried this? What mediums? Thick medium and satin medium mixed?

I tried it on one of my painted hair babies and think it did add some depth. I asked Christine Wooley how to do it she she suggested ghsp or xodus thick medium, just doing strands of it along the darker strands of hair. It’s kind of hard to get to show up on photos though

Did Christine say to mix the paint in with the thick medium or use it plain? Or a bit of both?

She didn’t say, but I was adding it to hair that had already been painted, so I only asked about adding texture after the fact.

I am thinking, since paint can be added to thick medium to paint 3D brows, I bet it could be done with hair. I’m tempted to try this on a cheap kit.
