2017 Plans/Goals

What are your plans and goals for your reborn business/hobby for 2017?

I have decided to raise my prices in 2017. So many of my babies have sold for younger collectors and lower prices. My goal is to reach more serious collectors. I know that I have not given myself enough credit. I am also not taking enough time and energy for my photoshoots. That too will change soon as I am setting up a more permanent space for that. I would like to attend some vendor events.

I also want paint one of each of the RealBorns I haven’t gotten to yet (that are still available).

Rooting! I need lots of practice. I understand the how and what of it but putting it to work ain’t easy! :stuck_out_tongue:

I have had two other dreams since the beginning. One, being asked to do a protype. And two, being invited to join a master reborn artist group. Business would be nice but feeling validated as an artist would be best, for me anyway.

I plan to begin! Aha! I have a few kits in mind  Practice, practice, practice and college wait for me in 2017!

I’d like to fit more time for my hobby! Just been so busy with a new career… I would like to finish 2-3 babies and maybe even sell one. I’ve been very unsure about my abilities and it made me shy away from selling.

To get better.

I have a Saskia to reborn after Christmas. I am hoping I can bring her to life and be satisfied with the results.

I would also like to sell my first baby!

More than any of the above I want to get good at sculpting if that counts!

My goal for 2017 is to practice painting ( air dry paints) by using the kits that I have in my stash before buying anymore.

Also in January I will be purchasing more Monster Clay and and get my two sculpts finished and molded, and pour my first few silicones to paint and give to family and friends until I get a perfect pour as I am sure the first few will be boo boos. But I will be taking my time on this as I have done a lot of research.

Kathy I understand this choice as this is my goal as well. I may make a few as custom orders only.

I hate to lose people from this hobby. So many have come and gone since I started way back in about 2008. I miss jabbering to them!

My goal to have a baby room got shot down by my nephew needing the room longer. Trying to carve out a dedicated space for storage in my closet and cleaning up my cabinets. My biggest goal is to get more babies made! And focus on photography. I have a new grandson due in late January so going to practice on him when I get down there. Hoping to get detailed veining photos!

I hope to improve my painting, definitely improve my rooting which is crap at the moment. Lol I’d like to organize my baby room to where I can find everything and catalog my supplies. The biggest thing is photography since subpar photos can make a beautiful baby look bad.

Big list.

My goals for 2017 are to make a beautiful girl baby for my daughter who can’t have anymore babies and has only her wonderful boy. I want her to get the experience of shopping in the girly section of the baby department, LOL.

I also want to conquer hair painting, improve my rooting, and improve my Prisma hair. I want to get those perfect fingernails I see some people get with shading and tips. I want to feel confident commanding higher prices for my babies.

I want to go to ROSE again and meet lots more of you lovely ladies!

Wonderful that you are trying to fill a hole in your daughter’s life. My daughter thought she was pregnant with a girl. Finding out it was a boy was an adjustment. She really was looking forward to baby dresses! Hope you are able to make your daughter smile!

My goals are to get more consistent at mixing paint, learn how to root, to feel confident enough to finish what I start in general to learn, learn learn!!
I would also like to go to the ROSE show next year.
I am enjoying the learning curve even if it is frustrating at times. I am starting to feel like I am making progress. I also feel very slow compared to the other new beginners.

My goal is to make at least 2 babies a month. I have turned down nearly a dozen orders at least for Christmas. I hope to have them painted and bald awaiting adoptees choice on gender and hair.
I am raising my prices as well. It has been hard for me though with nearly all my babies are local through word of mouth. Each knowing what the previous paid, so I also hope to sell more online.
We moved in Early August and I have an extra room used as baby making room/computer room. I hope to organize and define the spaces so that it’s a reprieve and not a chore. LOL <3

My goal is to achieve the perfect eyebrows. lol without having to do them 10 times, and Learn to paint hair. Although I love rooting hair, y’all give me the inspiration to try something new. Your babies with painted hair are beautiful. I also want to buy more baby clothes and blankets just so I have a nice selection on hand. You ladies are amazing, the way you cheer everyone on, lift them up when we are down or having a bad day or giving advice when it is so desperately needed at time. Thank you for letting me join in the group.
