I am 59 years old. My husband and I have been married 40 years this past February. We were high school sweethearts and he is still the love of my life. We have three children (all grown). Our oldest is married, is a pharmacist at a large hospital, our middle daughter is divorced. She and her two children (our only grandchildren ages 6 and10) live with us. She and a friend are in the process of opening a bakery. Our son lives in Chicago where he did his graduate work at DePaul. We live in hot Alabama and are Crimson Tide fans. My husband is retired from AT&T. I have been working as a paralegal for almost 30 years. I worked in the same law office for 26 years and tried to retire two years ago and that lasted only two months until I began a new adventure at a very fast paced law office.

I showed bloodhound in AKC all over the USA for several years and that was great and something I really miss. I gave it up after our granddaughter was born and my husband had some serious health issues.

My love of dolls began several years ago. As a child, my older sister got the dolls. However, I was the tomboy (the boy my dad wanted). I played with boy toys and had a few dolls along the way. I began with collecting vintage dolls but have sold all of them with the exception of my Vogue Baby Dear collection and a few others. I bought a “reborn” early on. A few years ago I purchased two more. I eventually sold them. My love of reborns really began when looking on Ebay I saw a completed Trey probably right after he was first released. He looked so much like the photo we see on BB. I corresponded with the artist but was unable to purchase him at that time. I never forgot him and to this day he is a favorite of mine. I did purchase a Trey last year although he does not have the dark hair, he is beautiful. My husband bought me a really nice reborn on my 58th birthday. After that we began to discuss me making them. Last Christmas everybody gave me reborning equipment and supplies. I have been enjoying this so much. My job is very stressful some days and it is nice to come home and paint or root. I find that very relaxing. I have really enjoyed all the help this forum has provided. I can only dream of making beautiful babies like so many of you.
