There is a lot more to it. 
They also do giveaways and stuff during it.
I mean you could pay $90 and win a prototype… etc. Of course it is by chance but cool if you do win… like @quiltsabunch won a prototype last year… so did @Angel (not sure if that was the same night or not)
I won my baby at the baby shower, not from entering the contest. If she means entering a doll she has made in the contest?

I was referring to there being more to the events than just paying for dinner.
Oh yes, more than just paying for dinner. I misunderstood, thought you meant winning prototypes as prizes for the contest. I think the baby shower was a lot more fun and I think there were more prizes give aways there than at the banquet?

Yes. The shower has more games and prizes.
The banquet is mostly award announcements. But you have to be present if you win in the category you entered into. (you do not have to enter a contest though)
It’s all worth it…most fun any doll lover will have in a weekend. It costs a lot to make this doll show what it is so I don’t mind the costs once a year.
