If you look at the needle BB has listed it seems the barbs are equally spaced. But I went and looked at these same needles that I have and the barbs are not evenly spaced. With a needle with this small of gage it seems having the barbs at the same space around the triangle would weaken the needle.
I’ve heard the crown needles are actually a bit stronger. Hopefully, someone can comment on that soon.

OK I think I got it. LOL. They are called crown needles because the barbs are suppose to be at the crown of the needle evenly spaced.
