I have always loved babies - have 2 grown children of my own but no grand-babies and not likely to have them at this stage. My first intro to modifying a doll came when I was 9 - the eyelashes of my Teeny Tiny Tears doll fell out and my Mum glued on false eyelashes for me. Also we were posted in Singapore at the time and her skin went from pink to a semi translucent tan - possibly due to climate and the sun! I adored her. Came across reborns on Ebay approx 15 years ago and fell in love with them and forgot about them. Then just recently I started looking again…shamefully made the first mistake of not researching and fell for a scam. Second mistake was buying a couple of Ashton Drake dolls which sadly looked nothing like the pics, but I trusted them. Then finally ordered a custom on Etsy (still waiting) and then became impatient and chanced upon an artist selling a prototype reborn and got lucky. In the mean time I have been buying blank kits and reborning supplies to make dolls for my own pleasure as I can’t afford all the gorgeous babies I see!
Anyhow thats me…born in UK, army brat so we moved around a lot and finally ended up in Australia
