You Tube stuff

Some of you know that I have started making You Tube video’s (mostly for fun) it is a nice way to get some free marketing and it feels good sharing. ( I am not monetized).

If you You Tube let me know what interests you. I want to have fun and I want to get the reborn community involved. You Tube can be an awesome platform for making new friends, learning techniques, sharing ideas, and getting to know each other.

The question I have is what kind of You Tube channel do you like? Tutorials? Day in the life. chats, paint with me, reviews, random silliness (don’t say pranks, I can’ t do pranks) alternative dolls…

I have some ideas but it is hard to know if what I like and find interesting resonates with everyone else.

Thanks in advance for helping out,

-G

I really like chat and “paint with me” type of videos, personally, but your videos will be good only if you are doing something you really like yourself. If you enjoy role play for exemple, you will bring views better than if you are doing chat but are not really into it.

I think about doing YouTube too soon but my challenge is the language !

I like watching tutorials. I also like watching box packing, clothing hauls.

@Gabriell I like chats and changing videos.
Box openings but only if the doll is out first so that we can look at the baby while you are chatting and showing your gifts. If the doll is not shown till the end I skip everything and go straight to the end, lol.
Rooting videos. Experimenting with different mediums.
I agree with @Leabelle do what is in your heart. You have a nice voice.

@Leabelle Your language shouldn’t stop you. I also watch videos in other languages and I don’t understand a word, lol.

I like tutorials, paint with me and product reviews. Really enjoyed watching you creating the fairy and avatar babies  I have an alternative I was curious if you would mind trying and sharing videos… creating a crackled antique style baby.

Now a crackle tutorial would be awesome! I tried and it didn’t work like I wanted it to.

I enjoy tutorials being that I’m pretty new at reborning. I can sit for hours watching tutorials.

Tutorials, im ok with chit chat videos but not a lot during tutorials unless it has to do with the subject matter or I stop listening and miss out when the actual info starts again or I get bored and find something else. lol sorry I don’t want to hear about the deer you saw from your window the other day for ten minutes :flushed: One tip if you use something in your video - a paint, a brush, a kit, tool etc list it in the description or your bound to get a gazillion requests for it. I get frustrated when peeps don’t list where you can find the stuff they are showing you how to use:crazy_face: you have to think of the newbies who know nothing and are looking to you for resources. There was an artist I watched that taught how to make a silicone doll but she didn’t list any products or supplies and she turned away from the camera alot and mumbled so I’d have to rewind the video a lot to try and figure out what she said. Lots of comments asked questions too that never got answered.

I listen to YouTube a lot when I’m rooting or painting. I love tutorials and “paint with me” videos even though I’m only listening most of the time. I like boxing and unboxing, but like @AnnieSokay I fast forward to the doll. I’m not really interested in all the extras; I just want to see the details of the doll. I’m not big on the chit-chat videos. Those discussions always seem to turn to griping and gossiping pretty quickly.

I really enjoyed watching your tutorials. You did a great job of explaining everything you did and stayed on topic. I agree, you do have a nice voice. I’d watch a crackle tutorial for sure!

You should do one in French…there are a lot of artists and collectors that would love watching your videos.

I will probably do that, as I don’t speak english very well. My concern is I am from Quebec, so French people may have trouble to understand too !

I don’t like the chit chat videos either. Oh hi Sue glad you could join us today what’s that oh yes we are rooting a doll today etc etc etc. That gets old I want the uninterrupted video. Love the idea that your doing them though. When I’m bored I love videos. Please say where you can get things like if you use glass beads say where you got them from. It saves me time to not have to try to find them. Thanks

Hair painting, for sure

I love to fall asleep listening to them, it is very relaxing. I can watch 10 ladies doing the exact same thing in their own way and there is still more to learn.

Good advice! I will try to remember and maybe also link things I bought online.

Thank you. I think I kinda like just feeling like I am at an art making event. I love to hang out with art friends and talk and make stuff. I watch other peoples videos while I paint, its kinda cool.

Good ideas, thanks.

and @leabelle agree that language shouldn’t be a barrier, I love watching tutorials in another language, especially if there are subtitles. It infuses my senses.

Just posted some You Tube videos of me reborning a 1985 Berenguer doll. It was gifted to me by a forum member. It was challenging but fun. Five 15 minute episodes, not super exciting but if you are bored here is the first one. I think you will have to go to You Tube to see the other ones, Saint Cloud Nursery.
