She gives the appearance of being a bigger baby than 20.5 inches, don’t ya think? I don’t think this is one I will buy. How about you?

Oh - I am not saying Chelle didn’t do a beautiful job, I just don’t like the features.

I sure don’t like her. Chelle did an amazing job on her, but the sculpt looks too much like Tory and Trey both done by Michelle Fagan.
Tory is impossible nearly to reborn and take pictures of to sell. The poor thing is so troubled and twisted in pain looking. And Trey is cute, but not the cutest in the world. This one, Rina seems to be in the middle between Tory and Trey and I will not be putting myself through another stressful birth!
Chelle remarks in her auction that she admires Michelle Fagan’s OOAK Asian babies and I got the impression that this sculpt is supposed to be sort of Asian? But sure doesn’t appear as such and I don’t think even if done by a different artist with Asian tones etc much would change.
Nope…she is not on my short list at all!! As difficult as it may sound, I think I would rather do poor Priscilla than this one.

It looks more like an Asian mix than a full blooded Asian. Asian usually have a flatter face. This one looks like a caucasion with asian shaped eyes. It’s cute and Rachelle did a great job on it, although I see a boy in this sculpt more than a girl.

I have done a number of Treys and I just love that sculpt (more as a boy than girl) and I bought Tory when it was on sale. Have never done that one - I hope she doesn’t give me fits

I actually like Rina but would never try to sell her as Asian. I had a 20 inch newborn and she had those cute little cheeks like Rina but she weighed 8 lbs 5 oz not a measly 6.1. If I were to get her, I would not try to sell it as Asian or even partially Asian. Big newborns eyes tend to look fairly squinty and smaller compared to skinnier newborns so I would just probably replicate my own big newborn baby look with her. She has a lot of potential, assuming BB sells a body for her since I haven’t sewn in years.
I would reborn this baby and like that she looks like a big baby -a some what softer versian of trey I think
This is an interesting thread, I like Tory, although I have never reborned her. I am not at all fond of Rina. I do love Ryan though, and think he will be a big hit.
I am not sure I really like Rina, but I love, love Tory. The one in my siggy is the 2nd one I have done and I have a 3rd to do also. I have never done 3 of one kit ever before. I also just finished a Trey and he is adorable too.
