What was the hardest thing about reforming for you to master? Mine was (so far) sparsely rooted blonde hair. It’s kind of like rooting blindfolded-can’t see a thing. lol
Eyebrows hate me
I’m still mastering eyebrows, so I guess those have been the hardest to master.
Prisma/ painted hair.
Anything hair related lol
Matte varnish…
It’s so hard to get it not chalky, not to thick, not too thin, but just right. I’ve been reborning for years and I still haven’t mastered it yet lol
groans eyebrows…veins are second, followed by shading.
Mottling, if I don’t do it quite right it looks painted
Eyebrows I am getting better but still not happy with them. Then veins I can’t seem to get them just right on every doll sometimes they come out to dark or the next one you can’t even tell it has them I have to figure out a way to be consistent in painting.
What’s the difference bw mono-rooting and micro-rooting? Or are they simply different terms same technique?
Yes!!! Matte varnish!!! My other nemesis!!! I am still trying to figure out the perfect formula! I just got the looks alive medium, so more experiments coming.
Isn’t that what micro-rooting is too? I’ve been practicing my rooting skills and I figured I might as well learn to microroot first I use a 40 g forked needle and I’ve picked it up pretty good. I’ve even managed to root decent brows. Now the crown on the other hand…
Oh! I guess I’ve been mono rooting then
Rooting to me is the ultimate torture. Especially black hair!
I like rooting dark hair. At least you can see it.
I’m in the Eyebrows boat with you guys. Mine are decent, but I want them to be be magnificent. Same with nails.
Goals:
When starting out… Which is the best way… Rooting hair or painting?
I would like to know too… How do you root eyebrows that look natural?
@ShaylaVale that would depend on the person you ask. I can’t paint hair to save my life, so I say rooting is the way to go, and I personally love to root. Then you will get those who hate rooting but paint gorgeous heads of hair. The only way for you to know where you fall in, is to try both.
Try doing finger and toenails with a toothpick. It’s easier because it doesn’t splay out like brush bristles.
