What do y'all think of Noel?

What do y’all think of the Noel kit by Olga Auer? I can’t make up my mind. Originally I just dismissed the thought of him. I don’t like all the sharp lines on his forehead and eyelids. But the prototypes keep getting cuter and cuter. I don’t see many pics of his limbs, so that makes me think they must not be great. His hands look tiny. I just don’t know. Is he going to be a big hit and I’m just not seeing his potential?

I can’t get past the forehead lines. Way too deep. They don’t even look realistic, more like slashes to me.

I love him. I preordered one!

I’d Dremel off the forehead creases. I think he’s cute but not cute enough to make me break my kit diet. lol

I love him and got 2. I hesitated when she came out with Thomas and only got 1 then regretted it. Her kits are TRUE number LE so they hold their values well. None of this time limited edition where the numbers go up in the thousands.

I was just logging on to ask this question! I can’t decide! The forehead lines are throwing me off… but her little face is cute!

I also don’t like the lines on his forehead, other than that he is cute. I have TOO many kits so Im not buying any babies unless Im seriously in love with them.
I just preordered the Jennie “twins” on dollsgarden. I do love them

I didn’t like him at first but he grew on me, I do like him. But I will not be preordering him.

I’m not preordering him because I need to put a dent in my stash lol, but I love him! I only seem to be drawn to kits with expressive faces or “different” looks to them, though. I’ve already got petya, April, and hazel Kitagawa on preorder.

I need to put a crater in my stash!

lol I hear ya! Since I’m sitting in Charlotte, NC with nothing to do while we wait for Florence to creep over us, I decided to inventory my stash for the first time in ages. I was kind of surprised to find I only have 30 kits, 3 heads, and about 8 pairs of random limbs in my stash (plus the 3 on preorder). I was sure I had at least twice that! Now I’m beginning to rethink my kit diet! Being shut in for the 3rd day in a row is not going to be good for my bank account!

So far I have purchased Maylin and Ellis of her sculpts, in both the arms are short to me they should be longer. The body and legs are okay but the arms need inches on them to me and the heads are large. JMO

Looks very similar to the Phil Donnelly kits.

I hadn’t noticed that. But you’re right. It sure does.

He is cute but does anyone else think he sorta looks like a little old man? Is that just me? He is a cutie though.

Little old men babies are endearing to me. My youngest looked like a little old man when he was really little. My sister called him Benjamin Buttons.️️

The key to reborning a kit with forehead lines is not to shade them like you do creases. Then they do not look so obtrusive.

Yeah. But none of the prototype artists shaded them. Yet the creases are still the first thing I see. :grimacing:

I love it but I don’t buy super expensive kits very often. I love the eyes down slanting and that big old forehead! Slightly opened mouths are adorable and add to realism. Its hard to give it five stars because the reborning is fantastic and I can’t tell what the kit looks like.
