When I was 17 and I got my first car, I drove to Toys’R’Us and bought myself a realistic baby doll to snuggle.
My daughter is now 16, she became fascinated with reborns and asked for one for her 12th birthday and if you asked her today she’d say she’s not interested, but guess who’s the first to hold and change the clothes on every baby that I make?
My daughter has grown up with my dolls all over the house and will not touch them with a 10 foot pole. They will all be sold on eBay the day after I die!!
I wonder which dark hiding spot this post has been tucked into! I wrote the initial note over 3 years ago right after I finished my first two babies. (I have completed a few more since then!) For my granddaughters, the then 13 year old liked the baby, but I think has never played with it. I have never seen it since she received it with the hair combed or clothes changed. The then-16 year old was adamant about not wanting a baby, and is still consistent with that opinion. As many said before, it depends on the person!
