I am wanting to give a cuddle baby to a special needs little girl. She is 10 but on the smaller side. Any advise on how I ahould weight the baby? Should I use all poly fill or put some weight in it? I am using a BB cuddle body for her.

For me, it would depend on what sort of special needs, if it’s something physical, where she would have trouble carrying any weight I would just use polyfil. Otherwise I might use poly-pellets, which are lighter or just use glass beads up to ankles and wrists so it’s light enough to be comfortable for her to carry, but will still feel like a baby with a little weight.

In my experience most kids between 5 to 12 seems to do fine with 3-4 lbs babies. More it’s too heavy for them, less it can take the fun/realism away and they are less careful with them. Weight in the head seem to help them handle the doll with more care and being more delicate.
