I started this evening on a new kit, baked and she’s been cooling for about 20 mins. The vinyl is beautiful, smooth feel and takes paint very well…but geezus does it ever hold heat. Seriously after sitting her for 20 mins the inside of her head is still too hot to put my hand inside of. The limbs are a bit cooler, but still very very warm. Have you ever experienced this with certain types of vinyl, it’s a first for me?
Yep! Believe it or not, my BB Sugar kit does that too!! If you want to, and you’re brave enough to, you could put a cold wash cloth inside the head to cool it down. Or, you could open a window, turn on a fan, etc. Or stick it in the freezer LOL
Don’t stickit in the freezer. I have been told that sudden cold on hot vinyl can make it crack. I haven’t experienced it personally but wouldn’t take the chance!
HI HELEN!!! I LOVE YOU!!!
Hi Nikki! I love you too. I haven’t been on much…too busy with Christmas but I’m still here!
That’s what I figured!!! ️️️️️
I let the parts cool off in the NuWave oven for 4 mins then I turn the fan on for about 7 mins. I no longer move them out of the oven right after it turns off because I’ve heard of the parts ripping when they’re so hot and flexible.
