Vintage clothing advice

I hung my daughter’s take home outfit in a display frame. The boys broke the frame last year. That outfit and blanket still smelled like Dreft! It was like smelling my sweet baby girl 27 years after the fact.

Awww I wish I would have thought to frame it. I carefully put up each child’s outfit until I got to the 5th and 6th child.
It was thrown in a box with pictures. That about sums up their baby books too. I felt so bad about it later.

I don’t even know where some of my babies take home outfits are. As for baby books, baby 1 (the girl) had a detailed book with monthly full page updates about her. Baby 2 had a nice book that had a paragraph per month. Baby 3 had a book that had updates every 3 months along with plenty of space for pictures and just a few fill in the blank updates. Baby 4…there used to be a blank book for him on the shelf. Baby 5…what’s a baby book? Facebook memories will remind us of what he did and when. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Percill is great for soaking and lightening… don’t know about vintage though…haven’t tried.

That sounds familiar with babies five and six. Facebook and my hard drive holds it all lol.

Probably a good thing I stopped at 5. If there was a #6, I would have misplaced him by now. Or maybe there was a 6 and I did. :woman_shrugging:t2:

I didn’t make it that far before I started slacking. Baby one has a dream of a baby book. Baby two has her pictures in ziplock bags in another bag with an empty baby book. Baby three doesn’t even have a picture printed. Lol. They are on on my phones or flash drives, etc.

I love that a dream of a baby book :joy:

I understand that thought process. I didn’t potty train or teach number 6 to tie her shoes. Numbers 2 and 5 did :flushed:

I have a few age stained pieces also. If I can’t remove the stains with soaking and oxy then I am going to tea stain all of them and do a very vintage baby. It isn’t my style but I love it and want to try it. I LOooOove Ladonna Briggs babies. Those are awesome gowns.

LOLOLOL!!! That is too funny! I love it. I had 3… That was plenty. To get those 3 grown was a challenge, and I am thankful for each of them, and I am also thankful for God’s plan for them to fly from the nest when grown!
