Truborns Mystery kit club

Does anyone here do the Truborns Mystery kit club? And if so, have you done the $49 mystery box? It shows sold out now. But I was able to order it in June. They processed my PayPal payment and sent order confirmation. That’s the last I heard from them. I have emailed them numerous times and have even escalated it through PayPal. Monday I finally sent a message through the Truborn help desk asking about it. I got a generic response of “let me check that for you.” All week, I’ve waited to hear more. But I’ve gotten nothing. I tried emailing them again today but the email address shows as invalid.
On a side note, they continue to faithfully take my $12 a month from PayPal toward the mystery kits.
I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, since Truborn is a reputable company. But the lack of communication is making me mad. They don’t even respond through the open case on PayPal. I would say it’s like they took my $50 and ran…but the reality is they are still taking $12 a month too and now I don’t trust them to ever send me anything. :grimacing::confused:

Is this for the preemie Maia kit?

I joined and paid mine in full.

I paid for shipping July 20th.

I contacted her after not getting tracking info and finally on Aug. 3rd got the info. She said she had missed a whole page somehow and that all of them would be picked up by the USPS soon. (they come to her house to get them) they did not come the 4th… they came the 6th in the evening.
Tracking now says my kit should arrive tomorrow 8-9-18.

It’s not for the kit. It’s for the one time mystery box. They take out $12 a month for the kits. When I get up to the value of a whole kit is when they will send the first one (at least, that’s the way I understood it.) but on the other page that had that option to also get a one time box. It has random supplies and possibly kits. That’s what the order confirmation was for. But the box never came. :tired_face:

How did you contact her? I can’t get hold of anyone. I did just now find her facebook profile from looking through old posts on here. So I messaged her on there (Bobbi Barefoot.) I’m really, really hoping this was an honest mistake. :grimacing:

I didnt realize she had the mystery boxes set up that way. I have seen her post some for sale before on facebook. But I never had the money to grab one when she was doing them.

I hope she replies to you and you get it sorted.

Bobbi has a horrible reputation for lack of communication. If you didn’t publicly ask about it on her FB page, I would. I messaged about a kit restock and it took her a month to reply. Heck, by then, I could see that it was restocked.:roll_eyes:

Wow…that’s good to know. But how does she run a successful company if she just takes money without processing orders? It doesn’t make sense to me. :confused:

One of the first things I would do is go to Paypal and cancel the automatic payment. From your Summary page on Paypal, click on the settings wheel in the upper right corner. Then click the payments tab on the second line at the top of the page. From the top box there, click on Manage pre-approved payments". There you can choose the payment to Truborns and click it further to stop it. Good luck!

I have also had problems with Truborns in the past. I no longer will give Truborns any of my business. I think That’s the only person/company I can say that about.

Did she eventually make it right with you or am I wasting my time trying to get hold of her?

I remember people having a lot of problems with truborn also. Especially the communication. Yes, publicly address it on her FB page.

She finally emailed back. Not sure why she did today. First she said she would check and if it hasn’t been sent, she will send it. Then she emailed back again saying it shows my payment was made but is on hold. I told her it was paid and cleared my account. But when I filed a claim they probably put it back on hold until they resolve the issue.

I said that still doesn’t answer why it wasn’t sent in the first place and why I haven’t gotten responses to my emails. :confused:

I placed an order once, i didn’t have any problems. I actually received it quickly. When i was trying to join the FB page, it took some time, but that was for different circumstances.

Apparently Facebook is the way to go. She’s communicating with me now and I’m trying to get the PayPal dispute closed so I can get her to send my mystery box. This $50 box better be worth all this drama. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
