Tidy mess!

Question… How do you all store your baby clothes? How do you keep things separated, boy and girl, sizes, etc? Do you hang things? Where? Or do you use dressers, bins? I really need some advice in this department! I am moving out if my doll room:-( and now EVERYTHING will be in my bedroom. I can’t find a functional way to store things. I guess I should get rid of a lot, like everything that isn’t a nessesity. :grimacing:

I have an IKEA storage tower for my clothes. I sort them by girl, boy, and gender neutral. The sets I have are tied together with ribbon (this is where i get my clothes that I use for my babies that I make)

Kinda like this, except I only use the pink bins

It keeps things very tidy
Oh, and as far as sizes go, I sometimes put a piece of cardboard in between the sizes (if I don’t have enough room for each size) and I put my diapers and blankets in these bins as well.
Hope this helps!

No help here I’m in transition everything is in boxes, supplies one box all clothes another box I think when I move I’m getting a dresser and maybe a some kind of big cabinet I hate not being able to see what I have or I’m out of.

I would downsize lol. I’m one of those people who can’t have too much stuff. How about sorting clothes into bins by gender and size.

I’m not much help in this department. I use those plastic drawer things currently but they don’t hold much. I have one for boys, one for girls and another for gender neutral/misc items.

I only collect enough to cover the babies I am doing, I keep three outfits that are for photos only(rarely use them). I have a red bin for them. But My work table looks like the fbi ransacked it! I have an ungodly mess I need organizers for paints, brushes, and glues. So I am no help either. :snowflake:

I have a 6ft x 9ft walk-in (which is still being sorted through and set up since we have been renovating and moving for the last 6 months.) with 9 - 6 foot cabinets with drawers and baskets that hold all my baby clothes, sculpts, etc so that is not much help for you I know - I sort by size and gender - mostly hang dresses and some of the bigger more bulky items…

I don’t have this but it looks like it might work or something like it if space is an issue…(just an idea - not sure how sturdy it is but something sort of like this???)

For right now I can just fit the clothes in my closet. But I’m preeeeetty sure I’m going to go ahead and get one of those cloth bins to put dolly outfits in. Give me a year and I’ll be overrun by baby clothes

WOW Sydster…I LOVE your system…SOOO neat!! (Pun intended!!!)

@westernstarr where can I find that??? It’s awesome!!! I have a really big walk in closet… But lol, my clothes fill it. And also the walk in , in the guest room. I need to throw out MY clothes and start over. I have a rule with my husband that every item I throw out… I can replace with something new. Well… I never replace anything except doll kits, paints, clothes, etc! I don’t need all the fancy stuff I had before… Around here I never go out and have no social circle. So, it makes sense to me. But my hubby seems to think I should still try to look good for him. Oh yeah, he’s prob right.

I keep my hangables on the top rod of “my” closet and the foldables in a vintage chest of 5 drawers (reclaimed from a womens rehab shelter). They are neatly organized…in a gigantic mess! Right now the dresser drawers are open with clothing unfolded and draping over the sides some are scattered around the living room. I have dresses laying around my bedroomI had babies to dress and wanted to find the right outfits. I still have three to dress so why organize until I can get back to normal? I also have the carts with baskets, two carts 6 baskets those are tidy because they are located in a hard to maneuver in place, aka as my craft/storage room.

I get everything put away… And I’m almost there! As soon as I do, I’ll sell a baby… And make a huge mess of packing and clothes all over again. I need a Christmas elf to live with me.
