This contest is killing me!

Finished a baby I might enter in contest so I can’t show it off. After so long not making much, I so needed help painting! Got another kit mottled with too big of splotches so correcting that. Not sure what baby to use in contest so can’t get advice! Happy and excited to see everyone’'s babies!

You can message me and I MAY be able to help…of course if you’re wanting to get advice about painting it…I would be of no help cause I have only done it once and with a paint brush so have never used the prisma colours for drawing hair…(though I do use them for doing watercolour drawing or for colouring in adult colouring books when I get really bored - here is a pick from one of my 'colouring books so you will know what I mean…This is how I use prisma pencils…lol

.

…lol)

Hahaha…I know…I have a friend who is 64 and she is addicted…she is the one that sent me the first colouring book.I was a bit hesitate when she told me that she was sending me a colouring book…(I thought…wow, I know she has gotten really bunt out on reborning but it must have sent her round the bin…lolololol.)… Once I got the book though, I could see why she was so taken with it…The pictures are intricate and very nicely done and it is quite calming to sit and do them…She is so funny.I think she has bought over 25 books and only the good Lord knows how many coloured pencils over the last few months but she is having a blast and she was very stressed out before starting the colouring…now she is much calmer so it must have a soothing effect…I have always painted from when I was a kid and done all sorts of arts and crafts so I thought I would give this a try too…it is quite fun and good to unwind at the end of the day with but I am not one who can sit and just colour for hours like she does…too hyper…lol Having said that… I have bought quite a number of books and stashed them away for future times if I get bored and also because some are very beautifully illustrated so may keep them sort of like collectible art…I am pretty picky about what I buy though…mostly animals, butterflies, Art Nouveau, early history fashions, flowers and nature or I have a few favourite illustrators I like so look for their books and if I like them I buy those…things like that…they are relatively cheap to collect ($10 - $25 each) and don’t take up heaps of space so…why not!

And… You can probley color in the car on your long trips back and forth!!! Lol if you’re not the one on the wheel of course!!!

Might be fun to try it while driving…lol Actually hubby does most the driving but I am not into it enough to colour in the car…lol I mostly tend to collect the books…I do stain glass painting from time to time…I do love that…but have let a lot of those things go over the last 7 years while doing reborns though I do dabble from time to time…I also have done a bit of the felting where you make dolls like these but I haven’t ever completed anything… YET…I have little partially done projects that I work on when I get bored with some of the sculpts I’m reborning sometimes…lol One ay I might get some of them finished…I have a super hyper mind so always got to be doing something…(none of these are my work of course)

I love felting!!! I was totally into it before I discovered reborning!!! Once I picked up a doll I never felted again! Poor unfinished animals!

Ahh wow, he is ADORABLE…what a total cutie! Love him…

Sounds like we are in the same boat…I have several of them started but not finished…one day I will finish them though…not enough hours in the day…big sigh…

Okay, Nikki. There you go. You can start felting again instead of painting dolls. Then when you start painting again you can put a felted animal toy in with your babies.

I guess I am off any hobby’s, he was going to hire someone to assist him with files. We worked together before, and personally it’s not a good thing. But, I need to earn my keep… And he will pay me. So, there it is. Apparently I had my chance and it didn’t work, so I’m back to being his assistant. Great!!! Honestly I wouldn’t mind, I’m not a lazy person. But we have a home office, which means I’m on call 24/7 or actually as long as he is awake. And f I’m doing other things I can’t be focused on work. Hey, I guess it could be worse, and at least I’ll have money to buy my family Christmas gifts:-) lol none of them want my dolls either!!! Lololololoolololol ITS TOUGH OUT THERE!!! Lololololol

Lol! I feel your pain! Now that I am out of pain enough to create, I am trying to do all the things I had to let slide…which means less time to play. Yesterday helped rake leaves. Well I used a leaf blower while friends and family raked…not entirely stupid! And did some laundry. And squeezed in a little painting. But yes, I have too many crafts I want to do and not enough time.

My older daughter gave me needle felting stuff last year for Christmas and I loved it. But that is on hold while I catch up on dolls. I also love making felt food for my granddaughter. Making some for the library in town. Thought about coloring books but not enough time if I want to get on here and then play farmville2 and…
