I’ve been thinking about buying a kit to reborn and sell to help raise money for my puppy. But if I can’t sell it then I’m out that money and I have less saved than before. Should I take the risk? And if so, which non bb kit should I buy that would probably sell.
I think it depends on how far you from your goal. If it’s a huge deficit… why not take the risk. However, If it’s less than $100 I say push your tutorial on some of the Reborn Facebook groups. I will be glad to comment under that post and speak to it’s helpfulness.

It’s like 650 away plus the misc other things that I need for him so probably like 750-800 CAD. I have two dolls for sale but no interest on them and they’re not popular kits at all. Thank you! I’ve saved half so far and I’m just worried to spend what I have. I always seem to pick the wrong kits and my sales are usually bad.

Id take a Bonnie Brown kit…if you are ok with an open eye one, get Saskia from Macs…or Chase or Levi if you would rather have a closed eye.

I’ve done all those kits and I don’t reborn kits more than once. Levi is my least favourite of the 3 for sure.
Levi is a hit or miss…Ive done two Saskia’s and they sold very quickly. I suppose you will have to figure it out then because we all don’t know which kits you have done and which ones you haven’t.

Personally I would put the money in the dog’s fund. I would not take the risk. But that’s just me.
Seems the reborn market is a little slow right now. But it will get better at Christmas. There are just so many reborn out there. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
I just feel like I’m not going to be able to make up what I spend on a kit. I’m really afraid of screwing this up for myself. It’s the only way I might be able to get that money but it’s such a big risk too. I’m open to kit suggestions for sure, Because I always seem to pick the wrong ones since I have bad taste apparently. I haven’t done most of the new kits, but I don’t know which ones sell.

Thank you. I don’t have time to wait for Christmas, he’ll be coming home around then. And I never sell any dolls at Christmas no matter how cheap I price them. It seems like it’s going to suck either way lol

LOL…I don’t think you have bad taste…its just difficult to sell right now. Id personally do Saskia if I were going to take the risk. I have been wanting another kit but I have several babies that Im going to make that people have been asking for. My next two will be another Tobiah…if you haven’t done this kit I highly recommend and use the chuck hazel eyeco eyes because, trust me, they are the only ones that fit and look right…people keep asking me to do another one so I ended up buying another kit because the one I have has a hole in the finger. I can not get ahold of Laura Lee Eagles…Ive tried many times on FB and on her site but I get no response…I also tried that vinyl repair kit and it just doesn’t work…I don’t know what Im going to do with that kit. Ive also been asked to do a blonde Levi so Ill be doing that as well.
Im not getting any sales right now either and its very disheartening.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I had such a bad time with Saskia that I’m not going back there again 
And she didn’t sell well for me. I had to sell her as a painted kit at a really low price. I’d get Tobiah but I would need to get everything from Mac’s because of shipping cost elsewhere and they don’t sell those eyes and I’ve seen a lot of weird looking versions of that kit. Yours was lovely! Another thing that kinda holds me back is that I’d need to buy a layette. I don’t keep baby clothes on hand because I can’t afford to.
The ones I have for sale are Tink and Precious Gift. I like Tink but Precious Gift is the ugliest kid I’ve ever seen and I doubt she’ll sell.

Is it too much money for you to order from Dolls so Real? I was ordering my eyeco eyes from them and they ship USPS so I don’t get charged taxes unless I order a bunch of doll kits.
I think Saskia makes a better boy than girl.
It costs me like over 20$ to buy a pair of eyes. Shipping is 9$ USD which isn’t bad but the conversion sucks and it takes a long time to arrive.
That’s true for sure! I’m just so sick of that kit, I think if you gave it to me blindfolded I could identify it immediately lol I’ve seen it way too many times by now. Same with the twins.

They do. But I really hate working on kits I don’t like, it takes all the fun out of it. I could if I really had to but I prefer not to. If Laura Brown was out I would get her in a heartbeat but Bonnie is still sculpting her hands lol

I second Tobiah. He’s precious! I got these glass eyes from Dolls by Sandie. I was a little hesitant to purchase them because I read the thread about the eyes not fitting properly but they seem to fit ok to me. Maybe they fixed the issue with the socket?

Have you done a Twin A? You wouldn’t even have to buy the eyes for that one.
