I love laughing at my first attempts and showing them to newbies that think they are “failing” at painting. It’s not a failure, it’s a learning experience as my favorite art teacher used to say!
I assembled some pre-painted pigs before I started painting and still have one tucked away. The vampire and Sparrow were my very first attempt sometime in 2017 or 2018. My family was very unkind and discouraged me from learning more, so I sold my paints and quit. When my doll interests turned away from American Girl and back to reborns my husband encouraged me to try again. I tried one silicone kit because it was on sale and then went back to vinyl and air dry. Lavender was completed May 2024 and is my best work yet in my opinion.
