Looks like fun! I went went to one similar to that a few months ago and took a Reborn in a stroller. Had great conversations! Only two vendors had Reborns, the rest were “just” dolls.

I can’t remember the name of the show or channel as it has been a while, but one reborner got kicked out of a show for doing that - she posted a rant/vent about it on youtube. I think the logic behind it was all the ladies with tables pay to advertise and sell, and letting someone show off their work and make client contacts without fees made the others upset. Just thought I’d let you know it happened before. That lady was pretty upset when they asked her to leave.

If she was actively selling, I could see why she was kicked out. I wasn’t selling, only showing her to interested parties. I was there to look (and buy) a doll that caught my interest.

Yes, supposedly she was doing the same thing (not actively trying to sell, just brought a doll with her) but they viewed it as trying to sell, I suppose. The other sellers probably figured the clients would be at their tables buying from them instead of admiring her reborn, I guess.
I’m not saying you are doing anything wrong, Amy! I think it’s a fun idea to bring a baby along. I just thought I should let you know what happened to her. I’ll try to find the video if I can.

I just assumed she was trying to sell. Some people get ruffled, for sure, and sounds like the people at the show were a bit uptight. It was probably only 1 or 2 that were very vocal to the powers that be.

I can see both sides. I went to a small doll show here in port Isabel, and the booths were SO EXPENSIVE and had so many rules to even be Albe to have a booth. They wanted sellers to commit to 3 full days of 10-8 where the booth could never be unoccupied by the sellers. If I would of strolled in and took attention awY from them, I think they would of been out for blood. BTW, I went hoping to see reborns, and there was not a single baby to be found!!! I would steal the show!!!

I just wanted to be sure. 
My daughter brings a doll with her almost everywhere we go. Sometimes it’s her American Girl doll, but sometimes it’s her reborn doll “Elvis”. I don’t think I would have given it a second thought to let her bring it alone, especially if we were going to a doll show.

Yeah, that makes sense. I think that whatever that lady’s intention, she gave off a vibe as being competition. Or someone thought she did. Don’t know as I wasn’t there. I tried to find it on youtube but no luck, but the name is on the tip of my tongue. I hate that…
