Does anyone know of a way to stop people from paying for a baby on reborns.com if they are not in the us? All of my listings say usa only and I am still having to do refunds because people from across sea’s keep purchasing!
True but it does not count when I have to do a refund lol. I just made a large purchase and need some real buyers from the USA Haha.
Remember, people are saving their money for ROSE, their kids graduation, and summer vacation trips. So you might want to just stock pile reborns for Christmas. That’s what I’m thinking about doing.
You might want to consider shipping out of the country. My listing says I only ship to US but I’ve made exceptions twice when I believed they were serious buyers. I packed the doll for shipping and took it to the post office to get accurate shipping amount. Then I sent a PayPal invoice for the difference in the shipping cost. I make sure they understand that THEY are responsible for any taxes or customs fees on their end. One of mine went to Australia, the other to Colombia. Both went off without a hitch.
That’s what it looks like I am doing also but sure not saving any money. We went out of town last weekend for a get away then we have a family vacation coming up in two weeks and I just purchased my first Miracle Kit by LLE
She is from Ireland? Should I offer that to her? I am not sure how customs and all that works.
No! I may also be getting Knox and Esme also if the lady gets back with safety photos lol.
There can be fraudulent buyers anywhere. When I do ship to other countries I usually also send an e-mail before I send the PayPal invoice so there is no confusion about anything and I have record of all transactions. I do this with US sales, too.
The shipping over seas usually cost’s more then the doll I am trying to sale lol.
Exactly why you have the customer pay for it before shipping. I don’t touch the money until the doll has been received and I know the customer is satisfied.
I am very emphatic about no shipping out of the country, and when someone ignores that, I just go refund reiterating that there are no exceptions. I had a bout of this happening, and then it stopped, at least for now. It’ makes me wonder if it is a scam of some sort…
She sent me a message saying she had just purchased it for her Daughter’s Birthday that is in 2 weeks and wanted to know how long it would take to get there. She sounded like she really wanted her but I told her by the time I shipped her to Ireland it would cost way more then she would want to pay I’m sure. I told her thanks for the interest and kind words.
Yeah, but I mean people who are just collectors and not artists may be saving…or not. Haha.Or maybe they spent all their dolly dollars and are trying to get some money before buying more…(me)
I’ve only made 2 exceptions and I totally went with my gut on both of them. I’ve had 2 or 3 that were questionable and I didn’t send them. Part of me feels that I have increased selling options with international orders but I’m very selective.
No I refunded the payment I only ship in us. Unless she messaged me saying she would be willing to pay all of the over sea charges but I am sure from here to Ireland pls her customs would be more then the doll lol.
I will get her but I am getting her cheaper then you can sale her to me for sorry.
I fully refunded somebody from Mexico
That’s who it was
I’ve shipped out of country lots of time and I don’t pay any extra fees at all…the buyer has to pay a company to do the handling for them I just shipped it to a USA location and from there they ship it to the country and take care of the fees between them and buyer. If a service handles it I’m fine with it but I’m not willing to ship it international on my own, maybe Dave at reborns and can set up a feature that prevents internationals from purchasing if it ship to USA only, I know eBay has that feature
Lucky You-----where did you find her?? I know there are lots of people who would love to have a Miracle!! Be sure to post pictures when you get her done!!!
