New group on Facebook selling reborns made from fakes

I wonder if this group belongs to the person called out for painting and marketing her lower priced “replicas.” I am at a complete loss as to how any artists can be OK with this.

I don’t know, I tried to look at members but it won’t show me, I have asked to join to see but doubt I will be approved :joy:

I don’t understand . It’s litteraly kill our art. Soon, sculptors will stop sculpting and we will be stuck to paint those knock off and sell them for nothing…how can artists support this ?:rage:

I read on Facebook that Natalie Scholl posted saying she was no longer going to sculpt because of these knock offs

I couldnt find that one…
But I found Reborns UK and it is a scam as well. I commented on it… had a conversation about stolen photos. They asked who they were stolen from… I told them and they said I was wrong. It was from their “manufacturer”
I said “reborns are painted by individuals. This is a sculpt by Alejandra De Zuniga and this version is from Alexandra’s Babies. If you have a copy of it, it is illegal. Alejandra did not give permission to produce it.”
They blocked me… deleting my comments… but my negative review remains… where I said they are stolen pictures and illegal knockoffs.

That’s who I was wandering if it was, I was in the other group where she was admin until she started offering fakes, I got removed along with a lot of other members who told her she was wrong, so now she has dedicated group for them!!!

That is who I meant. I had forgot her name.

That is exactly how I feel.

I reported the group as unauthorized sales. If enough people do this it might get taken down by Facebook.

Done the same

I would leave the hobby before buying knockoffs :frowning:

Me too. I am really sad about this.

It’s awful how by calling them “cheap kit versions” it completely avoids any implication of what the really are, fakes!

Oh, and how they lie about what they know they are doing and it shows they know they are wrong but don’t care. It says “cheap kit versions” instead of “counterfeit kits” or “illegal knockoffs.” I reported their group to FB for unauthorized sales. If we all report it that way, maybe FB will look at it. Here 's to hoping.

My computer wont open it… says it contains malware

Is it a scam site like the others with stolen photos, etc?

Yes. They “sell” reforms, Waldorf dolls, and stuffed animals for ridiculously cheap. But they’re using photos from other sites, and you get cheap junk instead of what you pay for. I didn’t fall for it, thank goodness; I was alerted to it on Facebook and immediately thought of this thread.
