Rant. Entitlement galore

And people like her deserve that because they asked for it and this is often how people like that need to learn a lesson. The HARD way. Wrong is wrong. So, I’d be curious as to what her reaction will be when she receives the plastic junk they are most likely going to send her.

I also think that she WAS aware. I think @taylorsgirl had her steady informed. She could have I guess, bought an Ashton Drake. Apparently she’s been warned many times about scam sites and such. I really hope she gets it when she gets her janky doll!

No you don’t wish you could sell them cheap. From what I’ve gathered cheap means negotiate for cheaper

Ok had someone message me yesterday, to fix a doll they bought on amazon. It was an “otard” doll. Cheaply done, hardly any paint.

I told her no reputable artist would touch those to fix them!

Otard? That name sounds dumb, lol.

Lol!!! Lucky duck!

Why would he want to be the king of England? Ew what a terrible job! To much pressure!

I wanted a weighted doll I found in an antique store when I was 12. We would go there once a week and shop after we went to a buffet for dinner. (Funny enough the buffet was called duffs and the store was callled stuffs and I always thought they should have been the other way around). Anyway UGLY Crier weighted doll my mom wouldn’t let me have it even though I begged and begged and begged. It was only $60 I loved that thing and carried it all over the store. I thought for sure they were going to surprise me with it for Christmas :disappointed:

when i was 8-9, i desperately wanted a reborn. my parents knew that i wouldn’t be responsible with one that expensive, so they got me a paradise galleries doll.
buying a scam doll for your child isn’t responsible parenting at all!! there are many cheaper dolls that are made specifically for children, i don’t know why that wasn’t an option for her.

The scam sites show stolen reborn photos or even photos of real children for less than what Ashton Drake or Paradise Galleries charges.
Looks like a great deal!

Sure, but when you have a good friend in your ear, TELLING you those are scams and what not…I’d def be looking into it or looking elsewhere!

Agreed. It just takes a little common sense to see the scams for what they are.

I’m sorry it’s not funny

But it pretty much sums up 2020 for all of us I think

Sheesh. My “sister” sent me what she believed to be a valid medical vid clip about Covid. Less than three minutes into the bs I stopped it and texted her.
“Did you not see the alien autopsy??!”

She knows. I regularly post about it on my page so people can see them. I’ve shown her numerous times in the past. This isn’t a case of not knowing. She is aware of the stolen photos. And what it costs to make them. She flat out said so.

Sadly, some people just can’t be saved. In this case it seems she really isn’t looking for an art doll, just something cheap. This isn’t important to her at all. And it does hurt artists, but that doesn’t faze her. Very selfish.

To be honest Tho. I didn’t really lose my temper until she gave me the “maybe you should give back …do a raffle.” line.

My Italian temper got the best of me when she said that. Lol

I’m so glad I don’t use Facebook.

As if she was going to win the raffle if you did one…

People are just too entitled and cause they are your friend or family, they want that discount or to do it for free. Not even pay for supplies.

She knows what she is risking getting and I do not know why they don’t just go for Ashton Drake or Paradise Galleries? Maybe because their dolls don’t look as real since they advertise what you are getting or close to that.

Wish you hung around enough to see her reaction to the fake one and if she told you to fix it, you’d just go no.

I dream of having $1,000,000, so I deserve a winning lottery ticket. Don’t get mad at me just because I bought a fake million-dollar bill and didn’t have the sense to realize that my $2 investment would not be an actual million dollars. Growing up my teacher said I could be anything I wanted to be and my parents gave me everything I wanted to keep me out of their face, so my entire life has taught me that if I whine hard enough someone will give me what I want. In the meantime, I’ve got my fake million and I know I can’t spend it, but at least I get the satisfaction of wasting actual millionaires’ time with my sob stories and pleading.

Also I love your paycheck and I have long admired it. Not everybody gets a paycheck like that so maybe you should just raffle It Off

It’s a shame so many people don’t understand the work that goes into these reborns and how delicate they are. They’re not a toy, they are a work of art and you have to basically treat them like a real newborn to ensure their quality is long lasting.

Even then, there’s quite a few more realistic baby doll brands that are not from scam reborn websites. Berenguer, Adora, and even Kinby. They are much more trustworthy and what you see is what you get. I never understood the argument of, “But my little girl.”
