Raining in so cal!

Very excited, it’s raining here in SO Calif. We don’t get much rain and our drought has been awful for a few years. We can’t water our lawns on anything anymore. Our snowpack in the Sierra Mountains is above normal for this time of year so hopefully it will lift the drought for this coming summer. Anyway just wanted to share my excitement over the rain today and it’s suppose to rain on and off the rest of the week, Yippee, we need it so bad. Sorry if some of you have gotten too much rain already, but we LOVE it!! Maybe it will “green” up some of the dead stuff around here!!!

I am glad that you are getting much needed moisture. We had 5 degrees of freezing cold this a.m. in western PA., and have a light dusting of snow.

It’s raining here in North Cali also and has been for the last few days. I hope it continues because we need it badly.

SO Cal here too. It’s been storming all day, but now clouds are drifting and the sun is coming out. I was hoping for a bit more rain.

Oh No----which one, I am from Scotland and have relatives there. The castles are so beautiful I would hate to see another one destroyed. There are so many castle ruins and even they are beautiful for what they are!!!

I live in Santa Clarita Valley (right next to Magic Mountain) my daughter’s husband is in the Navy and he just received orders that they will be moving to San Diego this year :grin: they live in Washington right now so I’m gonna be in San Diego all the time to see my grandchildren :blush: I just got the news of there move and I’ve been crying happy tears nonstop :grin:

All you California girls (me too) be careful what you wish for. They are predicting that this is going to be the worst el nino year in the last 100 years. We need the rain, but hopefully we won’t get THAT much.

I live in British Columbia, Canada and we have had very cold weather and tons of snow this week ! This is a photo looking out into my back yard this morning !! I am wishing for summer . . … . LOL! You girls in the warm climates, can send me some sunshine and warmth !!

I grew up in Pinole (close to San Francisco) and my husband grew up in Fremont, we moved to Southern California eight years ago but our whole family lives in the Bay Area so we visit there all the time

Im so glad you all got rain.Finally.
I cant even imagine limiting showers to 10 minutes and all drought states go thru .
I have a well with plenty of water here Mo but i tried not to over run water if im using it just because I know it is so desired and wished for other places Its precious.And i collect rain water for indoor plants .they THRIVE on rain water.
Too bad we cant pipe our excess lately out to you
