I have been trying to put in eyes in a small 8 in doll. There is no slits or anything behind the eye sockets. I am having all kinds of trouble finding a tool that is long enough to put them in. Also what to use to hold the eyes in? Can anyone help please.
You have to make your own slit in the eye pocket. I use the blades BB sells but I’m sure most any hobby store would have some.
To insert the eye, push the eye toward the neck opening so you can reach the pocket. Works best when warm.
BB has a good video showing how to do it. You can find it on YouTube if you don’t find it on the site.
When I made my small baby I used the slanted shaped eyes and put the, thru the front, they went in pretty easy.
Thanks for responding to me. But this baby came with it’s eyes cut out, nothing behind the eyes at all. I will try all of the ideas and see what helps. Thank you!!
Could you glue felt behind the sockets to hold the eyes in?
I would think felt would be fine. Is there any way you can put glue where the eye meets the vinyl? Then you could glue the felt over that.
