Princess Adelaide

She’s 23 inches. I used the body from MacPherson. I stuffed it super tight so she won’t slump. This made her fat. I don’t really know what size clothes fit her best. The onesie is 3-6 months and it’s tight. But it fits length wise. The pink romper is 6 months and seems to fit just right. I’m going to try sleepers on her today to see what fits. Basically, with this body, she’s like a fat, short baby who needs bigger clothes to fit around the belly. I don’t know how the bodies from the other sites work. Every doll I see listed seems to have a different body. Probably if I did the kit again I would have roseannes boutique make one just for her. She really needs to be a little bit skinnier. Her head is too small for her body.

And yeah, she looks like a spoiled brat. I didn’t even know I had a pacifier that said “spoiled”. But when I saw it in my stash, I immediately knew it was hers. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

She is unique . Has a personality. Isn’t my best but people liked my Adelaide .

I notice there haven’t been many on reborns.com. But they all seem to sell fairly fast. I think this is a kit that so many artists were turned off of because of the arm and the bags under the eyes. But customers seem to really like this kit. I’m going to try to get pictures this morning so I can get mine listed. Then I’m going to go back to rooting my werepup. I’m anxious to see how buyers respond to that kit.

I take “creepy” from non-doll people as a compliment to mean too realistic!! She is adorable!!!

Thanks. That’s how I take “creepy” too. I just listed her. Wish me luck.

She’s amazing! Those curls are to die for! I guess some people don’t understand the art of reborns (and some are just plain rude!)- oh well, you always have us here for you xo❤️

Thanks everyone. None of the people mean it in a rude way. They are all impressed with my dolls. Like cajuncuties said…creepy means realistic to them. I take it all as compliments. The only one to say she’s ugly is my husband. But he’s talking about the kit. Not my work. He doesn’t like the pouty ones or the big smile ones. He doesn’t like any of them really. But he brags about my work to his friends and family. He just doesn’t like dolls, especially when they look real.

She looks like a difficult kit to start with. When she first came out, seemed like quite a few were on the fence with her. You did a terrific job with the sculpt! Maybe it’s the kit itself that seems creepy to some. Sometimes there’s only so much you can do. I think"yours" is precious.:star_struck: (as i’m not crazy about that kit in particular)

Thanks. She is an incredibly easy kit. She practically painted herself. I kept her at the back of the table, barely giving her any attention.

Do it! I don’t see very many completed Adelaides out there. She’s easy to paint and the world needs more of her.️️
