Photos pace area pictures

I am copying off the workspace thread… I would like to see pictures of where all of you take your reborns photos!

I was using any random surface lol, but I set up that space in between the two closets to do my photos now. I dug some of my photo blankets out of the closet and got them washed, i’ll get to the rest of them this weekend and sort through the backdrops for ones I can use with babies.

I have a portable photo workspace. LOL. I don’t have the space to dedicate to a fixed workspace for photos and I like to take photos outside when it is warm and sunny. So what I did was purchase a utility cart and set it up with pvc pipes to hold the back drops. I can store all the props on the shelves so I don’t have to drag them every where. When I want to take photos outside I just roll the cart outside and if I want to take pictures inside I roll it inside. When I am not using it I just roll it out to my extra room that I store most of my crafts & kits.

This was taken in my storage room.

That utility cart is a genius idea for being able to take everything outdoors and having it all fit in one space.

I have no space, but I wanted to share something. I called a professional photographer and explained about the dolls, and she is shooting my babies for CHEAP so she can practice her newborn photos with a very compliant subject!! I just wasn’t happy with my pitiful pics…LOL and maybe I’ll get better by watching her…?

In the bedroom, on the bed, on a pillow with curtains wide open and a natural daylight lamp on in back of me…seems to work well…!!..I just move the pillow in a circle to get different angles.

In one of the kids’ rooms in front of the window, on one of the rockers I got from Walmart (thanks @lynn) covered with a blanket. (But I haven’t been able to share any of those pics with you guys yet cause I did it with the swap baby and the baby I used for the newbie contest on REAL.)
I also use a foam mattress bent like an L against the bed, then I can drape a background/blanket over the top part, and put the baby on the bottom part… I will try to remember to take pics of the set up next time… lol (my sister also has a few backdrops she owns that she brings over if I need them)

This is my newest ‘invention’ as I’m trying to streamline the photo shoot part. Rather be reborning than photographing! :unamused:
I have a portable clothes hanger with a black sheet as backdrop and a specially purchased chair. So I wheel the backdrop onto the outdoor patio and set up where there is plenty of natural light. Then everything is put away till next time.
Seems to be working ok so far.

I’m going to try to build something portable for outdoors, the ones I’ve taken so far outdoors I just make my husband hold in his arms (the neighbors get a kick out of it lol).

Here is my glorious reborn area (the cabinet with the broken wheel is mine, the box is the reborning stuff belonging to my friend), a corner of my living room. I work on the kitchen table. My photos are taken on my bed with the slider doors open for the morning light.
