Okay, so I am going to be honest cause I know you like honest @Toutlaw :wink:
One of the first Saskia’s I saw looked like she had bells palsy so I have not been drawn to the kit at all! I guess she was just poorly painted and it caused the side of her face to look droopy. please don’t think I am making fun of people who have or have had bells palsy-my mother had it 30 years ago and despite all of her therapy she still has the side effects
However, I have seen some Saskias since then that are absolutely gorgeous.
I didn’t realize she was newborn size and don’t think I have seen one painted to be a newborn. I would love to see one if anyone has pics or a link.

I got mine yesterday. My husband got the box. I sure am glad he doesn’t ask how much did this one cost lol. I work hard enjoy spending it to lol.

Jenni, that’s kind of how I felt but trust me, you’re gonna love her once you get her done. I love mine!! I didn’t like the kit at first!! I just got another one in today from MacPherson’s.

Mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow. If Fedex can find my house at the entrance to the subdivision! lol :slight_smile:

All mail carriers are failing me lately. Thankfully I haven’t lost any kits yet. And the neighborhood man who has been getting my packages now knows where I live. He gave me 4 of my missing packages today! But my mohair that was “delivered” the 16th is still MIA. :frowning:

He walked around the neighborhood until he found the right address and had me verify my address before handing me the first package. Then went home and brought back the other mis delivered items.

I absolutely love this kit :heart_eyes: I’ve just finished painting one & about to start rooting then decided that I needed to order one for myself ~ She is SO adorable & SO real!!!

I had to have both Saskia and Penny…and I’m sure it will start all over again for me as well. I’ll be going along just fine, looking at new sculpts as if I had money to buy them and WHAM! there it will be…just looking at me…saying take me home. It will taunt me until I give in. So goes the life of a reborn artist. :fearful:

Sorry, I am working on one now, lol! I love her. I never tire of seeing her. My favorite BB kit is Riley I would love to see more of her. Don’t worry you aren’t the only one tired of her.

@dlschuch, have you ever done a Saskia? If you haven’t done her, you should, and I guarantee you, you will fall in love!! When Saskia first came out I didn’t like her AT ALL, then after I began seeing everyone’s versions of her and I realized how versatile she was she started growing on me. Finally I bought one and painted her and now she is my favorite baby. I think you would really fall in love if you just did her. But I understand cause I can’t stand Twin A and B. (but I hate gaping mouths)!!
