Nikkiroc's PIF question #1

Baby Swing was a definite must! I’ve already won and done a PIF so please don’t enter me.

A thermometer that is placed in the ear or run across the forhead

A good stroller that reclines and grows with the baby. Large wheels are a must and it double as a napping place when you go to visit. They can also go to the different rooms as you clean. Of course this is only under direct supervision.

Don’t enter me because I well be unable to send out a pif and have already won but wanted too put in my thoughts .boppy pillow , a swing that runs front to back and side to side , lots of receiving blankets because of spit ups , lots of oncies that u are not attached to because of poop blow outs and believe me there well be lots .lots of socks they always seem to disappear if nursing lanolin cream and breast pump( double sided ) tripple paste for diapper rash and prevention .I loved having a bassinet in the living room so they could sleep there during daytime .please look into a aids mat it’s an alarm that monitors breathing movements and well go off if no movement for 30 seconds can save lives I may have more things when I think of it

I think you’re right Helen.

Well mine isnt just one but all were super important for me. Warm rice sock, nature’s bliss gripe water, gas drops, and a hair dryer. All got me through 2 kids with horrific colic! Warm but not too warm on the tummy, gripe water and/or mylecon drops for gas bubbles and reflux, and the white noise from the hair dryer, and a whole whole lot of chest to chest cuddling bouncing and shooshing. The other thing was a baby bouncer seat. Bought one for my youngest and wish i had had one for my other two. Holy moley that kid loved it. My middle one LOVED the electric swing though. If you get a swing pay the extra for the one that plugs in to the wall! I cannot stress that enough. Those dumb swings eat batteries. One more thing is a foldup playpen. Great in your room when you first bring baby home and perfect when you go out of town etc.

Don’t enter me cause I’m in Canada…just wanted to share…!!..:purple_heart:

If your baby happens to be as fussy as my youngest was then a vibrating bouncer seat was a God send for me. She Loved that thing. She didn’t like a baby swing(only if it wasn’t moving even after she was a little older),now my oldest did & that was her favorite piece of baby gear. It soothed her & it would get her to sleep even after she was a few weeks old.

Baby swing, Johnny Jump Up and cloth diapers for burping. They make great dust cloths when the baby’s done with them.

I think the things I couldn’t of done without would be, pacifiers (make sure you have extras of the one favored) my daughter only had one kind of pacifier she liked and when we lost it, we had a hard time finding one like it. So when we did find one, we bought several. The other thing was a nightlight, for those nights when you finally get the baby to sleep and want to check on them and you don’t need to turn the light on (because you have a nightlight) which might wake them…

A clothes dryer and infant seat, my son was very colicky, we would put him in his seat put it on the dryer and turn it on he slept like a baby. You can not leave this unattended however the seat will bounce off:cry::cry::cry:
