I listed Gemma yesterday on Ebay and on reborns.com. So this morning, I have a message thru Ebay from a person with 0 FB asking if I can make sure that the baby arrives overnight? If she can’t get it overnight she doesn’t want it.
Ummmmm…NOPE
First of all, shipping from my house to hers would be $112 overnight - she is in Arkansas. Do you REALLY want to pay $112 SHIPPING??? For a doll that’s less than $300 to begin with???
Second, I never ship until the PayPal payment actually clears my bank, normally one to two business days as clearly stated in my auction which people never seem to read. WHY do I wait till payment actually clears my bank, need you ask? Well, because sometimes if you go ahead and ship before payment clears you end up with no money and no baby. Seriously. Trust me.
Third, she joined Ebay today. I blocked her. Yep. Even knowing that we all have to start somewhere, blah, blah, blah…
So…do you think I’m crabby this morning or…just sick of all the BS? Either way, who has time for this? Not me.

That is frustrating! It’s one of the reasons I mainly do dolls for people I know or customs. (The other is I went back to school and am one year away from grad school-time is super restricted other than summer or winter break) I’ve had a lot of great buyers on eBay who loved my babies and were reasonable-but there are so many people out there trying to stir up trouble. It does get super discouraging. I’m so sorry! I’m sure there is a reasonable mommy out there for your little one but I’m sorry you have to wade through this trouble to find her. Make your favorite beverage or/and snack and reflect on why you love what you do. This person doesn’t deserve any more of your energy than she’s already taken. :

@Semantics congrats on going back to school, that is awesome! And you’re right, of course…people like this that crawl out of the woodwork take up way too much of our time. I admit to getting a bit tired of it, especially since I’ve been at this reborning thing for almost 14 years now. I’m taking today OFF.

I know it can be frustrating, but don’t let these people get you down. Poor things probably have very little to no brain cells left. Go and enjoy your day off.
