My first head of hair painting with another brand heatset

The hair painting specific ones will work great for light to medium browns but they really aren’t my favorite alone for super dark or thick hair painting unless you have a lot of time to spend. But for me with IRHSP I find I get a better result painting much softer and going in at the end with almost full strength color. I have other brands I can add in for darkness. I will not be teaching any one brand by itself as I’ve found I just can’t use one line alone! I have too many different “looks” to commit to one brand. It’s more about the technique and having plenty of choices!

Makes sense. I have always loved Genesis and thankfully have a good bit but I do not have endless hair painting colors. So I was thinking ahead for when I run out. I have also used Winton Oils in hair painting and they work very well. So I can always go that route.

yes they do and I recommend them- they work well with IRHSP as well. The winton white is a must have for me for blondes now

this was IRHSP and liquithin only and a lot of people loved it. It does work but it takes a little getting used to and lots of time to get it that dark like I said. I don’t prefer to work with the liquithin for the hair much but I do use it in some of my mixtures every once in a while

That is some mighty pretty hair painting :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

Do you do the thicker lines first and then fill in or the other way around?

Thank you! Other way around. I kind of lightly paint what I want to do as a guide and add the darkness where the hair gathers
