I received my Meadow by Andrea Arcello kit today. And she is absolutely adorable but just like Huxley, she does have some defects or flaws spots on her. Mine has a scratch over her right eyebrow that actually cut into the vinyl. And her head is super hard and stiff while her limbs are softer. I’m slightly disappointed honestly, because I was so excited for her kit to come. Anyway, I just thought some of you may want to know this before you order. Maybe the next batch of released kits will be better?

Most kits made of German vinyl has flaws. The heads are usually HARD and limbs soft. Absolutely don’t like painting it.

The Huxley’s that I did have really soft heads, just like the limbs. So I definitely wasnt expecting it to be so stiff. Seriously doubt I’ll try and root her.
Some Huxleys have soft heads. Some have hard heads. My first one and 3rd one had hard heads. My 2nd one had a soft head. 4th one is still bagged up. I’m afraid to see if it’s hard or soft.
Thank you so much for posting this…I wanted the kit but I will refrain from getting her because that kit is too expensive to have flaws like that

Are you doing a prototype? Or was the wrong COA also sent?

I dont think I would have paid $150 for her had I known. I’m most upset about the scratch across the face.

I bought it straight off of andrea Arcello"s website.
Weird. I would definitely contact her. To me it looks like maybe it was supposed to be a prototype but they saw a flaw and set it aside and sent a different one… then accidentally sent this one to a buyer.

This is what it said on her facebook page about it. I just assumed it meant maybe because it was the first batch?

hmmm. That is so weird. People dont normally get to buy the prototype kits… I would ask.
Maybe she planned on 5 people doing one but only 3 did or something.

I have no idea, I have never seen a sculptor or dealer sell kits that were prototypes to the general public.

I believe it just means those are extra prototype kits she had available me the people who ordered directly from her received theirs first which happened to be the extra prototype kits she had left, sort of like a “special edition” or “early” If that makes sense

Thanks for posting . Since Huxley was all flaws for the full price I was hesitating to buy this one . Well no more Archello kits for me .
