A local lady bought a doll from me 6 months ago. There is either a small matte varnish or modge podge spot next to its chin Its shiny what do i get it off with?..anyone know?
Why its there I added more hair to her doll … its hair wore out mostly in back she handles it all day every day i put a half head hair in free and eyelashes too although she didnt ask for them and the face was sort of shiney all over so ask if she wanted matte varrnish on him to tone down the shine.all this FREE by the way.
Thought i was done.
…Met her today as she ordered another doll was putting money down… "hair is grea"t but she says “by the way i didnt notice this at all but in a certain light there is a shiny spot can you fix it ?” I ts on the lower cheek.
I dont think ill ever be done with this doll.and now im half done with another for her so i guess it will cone back 10 times too
I told her i glued this 4 hair times so it wont pull out but may break with brushing daily as she does Ive talked til blue in the face about hair care sent her a care sheet twice
I have to be nice to here as shes on every local facebook page i sell dolls on.
Anyway This spot …I was thinking it was matte varnish now im thinking it might be modge podge fron glueing the new haIr in as its shiney although i covered the head up with a towel so it wouldnt get any outside Matte varnish wouldnt shine i guess. Should i varnish that spot over to cover the shine or try and remove it ?.
Since it’s just a spot, use Mod Podge Matte. Brush on a small amount and pounce as usual. It’ll be dry and in minutes.
