When shading my paint is building up in tiny, I mean tiny “potholes” in the vinyl. When I try to sponge excess but because they are so small I end up removing all the paint and leaving a darken little spots that look dirty. Are potholes normal, mine are mostly in ear, nose and creases. Is it my paint, I have tried to thin it, darken it,
thicken it… I use GHSP. Am I being over critical…

They’re pretty small. Try smoothing them with a nail file.

Thank you girls for your help I will try a file. She is Josie by Ping Lau! I love Ping Lau sculpts! Some of her’s look just like my kiddos! I should probably have started with “not my most favorite baby” for my second one, but she is just so darn cute!

Almost every sculpt I work with has them somewhere…mostly fingers and toes…seems like the smaller areas/parts get it worse…
