Liplining

I noticed a lot of artists are using some type of lip liner around the mouth. Are they from painting or a pencil of some Kind?

It’s been my understanding that paint and a thin liner is what many use.

I don’t line my lips but rather shade the lips to fade softly. I think the popular lined lips don’t look as natural, but they are pretty. What do you guys think?

I like how jacky Kramer does her lips…they’re so cool!

I think if the line is too obvious, it doesn’t look “real” because nature doesn’t usually have that effect. It can look pretty, but it looks more “dolly” to me if it’s overdone.

Now I have to go look at Jacky’s lips. Well, at her dolls lips, not HER lips. That would be CREEPY, LOL!

Well I went and looked and I agree they are beautiful. Sylvia E. does lovely lips too.

If i am working on an AA baby i use the creases and shading color to line lip and fade inwards. I also add crimson to it or mars black depending on the color i want.

I had done the “baby lips” search and gave up because of the lipstick brand. Never heard of them. Thanks for the pics!
