Look good! The trick is to apply the paint in thin layers, a bit like for reborning. That way it will gives a smooth finish without risking pooling.
Wow! That’s excellent Joy! Beautiful!
Thank you, Paige! She looks way too pale in natural light so I may wipe her down and add a few more layers before I root her 🩷
Gorgeous work… she will lighten up with matting…
Thank you, Pia 🩷 I wish I had known she would get this much lighter- I would have kept going with more layers. I’ll add more color to her tomorrow before I start her hair
You nailed it! She’s gorgeous!
Did you apply her brows? If you painted them, how did you get such thin lines with silicone paint?
Beautiful!
That must have taken about forever.
Great job girl♥️
Aww, she is perfect!
Matting does it to silicone. I want to add more colors to the one that I painted in Laurie Duncan’s class. I didn’t expected her to loose colors after matting, but she was my 1st, so it’s good to know now.
Gracie Mae just needs some veining and eyebrows/face fuzzies. After varnish I’ll be rooting her .
I’ve been focusing on her face so her limbs have yet to be painted
Thanks ladies! @jeanhai once I got into a groove it went quickly and was actually my favorite part!
@YelenaRey we can build color together!
Had to put the babies away for a day since I have Bible Study and housekeepers tomorrow (I “pre-clean” for the housekeepers.
WOW, just WOW!!! Geez Joy, she is absolutely Amazing!! Out of all the silicone dolls I’ve seen on here I don’t believe I’ve ever seen one this well done. It’s so crazy that you are able to do this on your very first try, you are an Amazing artist, no doubt about it!! She’s Stunning, are you going to keep her? Fantastic job!!
