Paradise Gallery Sock Monkey Business doll. When I got this baby, he had one arm. I made him over. The vinyl didn’t want to take paint. I used soft pastels for the most part. He is my experiment with many flaws. I completed him. His/her hair is a mix of black and dark brown hair that I had left over. I rooted them together even the eye lashes.
So pretty!
Thank you.
Rooting more than one hair color together isn’t a flaw if it blends well.
This baby looks way better than I ever expected it could!
Did you enjoy the challenge?
Yes, I did. My flaws are in the small details. This vinyl is extremely hard. The vinyl is the color of the doll. In other words, there was no paint on the vinyl. The only thing painted were the eyebrows, lips, hair and the blush. Below is the original doll. The vinyl is a dark peach color.
He’s gorgeous, one wouldn’t tell he was a trouble to paint if you didn’t mention it
Thank you. That makes me feel good. I just want to be honest.
Thank you.
How do you sit to root?
She is so pretty! I love how you posed her too
Thanks
I sit in a chair at a table with the doll head on an infant neck pillow.
Maybe you have seen my posts before but I use an extra large cutting board and I sit in my recliner and root. I never have any muscle strain rooting this way. I am going to try and find some pics!
These are all I could find, I will take a better photo tomorrow of it on my lap
I love your basket but don’t you have a lot of hair stuck in it ?
So are you sitting up when you are doing it or are you more reclined?
More reclined I can sit for hours and root. I can’t even imagine how stiff I would get sitting at a table rooting.
Yes I can see that reclining would help
I just suggest it to just give another option. Especially if the current one is causing issues
Thank you. I love your rooting set up.
