I wish everyone would post their actual first name in their posts ~ it’s great that we have so many new people here, but it’s hard to get to know anyone using only letters or stage names or whatever they’re called.
That’s all, no biggie

Well, for anyone who doesn’t know already, I’m Em (Emily actually, but nobody really calls me that - except my mother, but only on the day I was born!)
If I had a wish, it would be that everyone could just have fun and not take everything so darned seriously. Life should be fun! Play a little! (plus I also wish many, many people would send me large amounts of money for no apparent reason. I think that would also be great LOL!)
Darla here. Aka by my oldest sister even to this this day as Dardar. Although from what I understand I used to introduce myself as no no dara. Actually I was named from Darla on the old our gang black and white little rascals.

My wish is that each topic would have the user name of the OP and and user of last poster clearly visible in the index, as most forums do. The initials and avatars are just useless, especially as people change them.

except my best friend in Cali calls me Deb-a-roo I have no clue why.

I think that if you go into “Profile” and then Preferences, you can add your full name and it will show in the posts. I just changed mine to my full name: pia allen and let’s see what shows up when you look at it? Update: just shows “pia” unless you click on the photo and check out the profile and then you can see more. not sure where the answer is - ?
My name is Kandra but I have gone by Kandie ever since high school. No one ever gets my name right. I have been called kenestra camera and Kendra and there isn’t a e in my name. I don’t even answer to Kandra anymore because it not what I recognize as being my name. It has been over 40 years since I was called my real name. I don’t mind - I like my nickname. My wish would be that everyone could be nice and give all of us newbies the tricks of the trade! I have seen some wonderful babies on here and I am working on my 1 (no 4th - have to strip 3 ) this one so far so good. I only have 2 coats of paint on but I am much happier with how he looks so far…

I was afraid to put my real name on here but now wish I would have at least put a variation of my name- Missy ( Melissa for real but I did not know that was my name until I started school). My friends call me Missy Morbid because my house makes the Adams family’s house look normal- I mean heck they even have white drapes! I went with rose red because I love the Stephen King Movie. I have Aspergers syndrome (autism) and ADD and that movie keeps me focused when I am knitting. I somehow still manage to function as a nurse Administrator somehow despite my weirdness! I ask everyone to please not take anything personal I say because I struggle with appropriate conversation with my Aspersger’s and I will be guilty of hijacking threads as my mind wanders from my ADD. I am going to join a 12 step program for it as soon as I remember to.
Missy, my son has Aspergers. We would probably get along really well, because his doctor says he probably gets it from me LOL! Don’t worry about a 12 step programme: I’m sure many of us can relate entirely! PS I’m sure I hijack threads all the time, and I know I’m totally inappropriate half the time! Just have fun with your life! That’s what I always tell my son: you can’t be perfect, but you can still have fun and enjoy yourself and not worry so much about what other people think!

I have a very close friend who struggled to have her son - she had 8 miscarriages and was going in to have a hysterectomy. They found out she was pregnant. She finally got a child. He is a very loving little boy. He has asbpergers he has it as bad as it can get. He’s very with drawn but we are close. His focus is on a duck. It calms him and he doesn’t go anywhere with out it. I just watched rose red the other day and I really like the girl in it. I have Epilepsy and I know how it feels when your mind goes without permission. I think doing the babies helps me because I am really focused on getting a baby perfect. I am having a heck of a time with my OCD. Waiting for Asher isn’t helping! I bought acetone in the paint department to strip my poor babies with. It works great! Sorry I bounce around my focus is a little off today…
