Kits price lately

I am kinda frustrated … There are so many new kits on pre order now … I’d love to buy many of them … But with the prices over $100 … I won’t be abe to buy all the kits I want …
Please let me know I am not the only one :frowning:

Oh @joyce_angel1 there are lots of us that can’t possibly afford all the new kits. I’m having to be very picky and make sure what I do order has all the features I want. Full limbs, asleep or awake, pretty hands, etc. you aren’t alone.

For some reason, I am usually drawn to the most expensive kits out there, but there is also satisfaction in reborning older, inexpensive kits that lack the detail of the newer ones. The challenge of making them lifelike has taught me a lot about shading, contouring, and highlights. Regardless of budget, it’s possible to have fun. Besides that, by the time you get extra $$$$, there will be some new must have kit coming out. There is never a shortage. :wink:

Yeah , I usually buy kits when people are selling them for a great deal … love some open edition kits too …I cAn pay more for expensive kits for custom orders … I have 2 kits on pre order ( that I love ) and there is one more on pre order ( that I love ) I ll have to let go 2 of them … even more because December is the month we spend more Money … arrg… I want to be rich lol :joy:

I personally do not worry about the price of kits.I only purchase when I sell.No dolly dollars means no new kits.

No way are you the only one. There have been many new kits that I’ve wanted and didn’t have the money to buy. Some of them I no longer wanted by the time I did have the money. So, unless it’s a LE that really tugs at my heart, I know there’ll be others and I don’t jump to buy.

Yes, it’s sad. It feels like it’s almost as much to buy a kit as it is a finished doll :joy: there are so many that I like…and I just try to remind myself that I feel that way all the time and something better is always going to come along so if I miss out I’ll live.

I Just buy kits when I Sell too … but sometimes I LOVE the pre order kit … it is hard to skip a kit when you see a picture of it on Facebook all the time !!! :frowning:

Every time I think I may preorder a kit, I think of a BB kit I haven’t painted yet and want to then order it instead.

I have not reached your dilemma yet, I am on baby 12 and 13. I only buy BB kits for now. When I reach 20 I think I will splurge on 21. My most expensive baby to date is Amelia.

I have just bought 1 $$$ kit for myself that i love and i only bought the head!! Akina.There are just few asians out there which are my choice for me.

So far I get sale BB kits so i can sell pretty low but im picky and getting a little bored with the few i like so may have to go to higher price kits eventually…$60 kits? haha :grinning: yeah im cheap.
