Just got my Harper kit

He’s such a good size! I thought he was smaller!
I’m glad he is bigger!
Bigger than my 7 week old! <img src="/uploads/db4141/original/3X/f/b/fbf5dcc6c06137ffd0872c184dafb4fa8c28f4e2.jpeg" width=“666” height=“500”>

It looks proportionate to me! I really like this one a lot. Loads of detail!
And it’s neat how it takes the soft body inside. I bet he will pose very well!

I got mine last week. He is adorable!! Has anyone actually assembled one of these full torso dolls? I’m a little confused. So, do you attach the legs to the body the same as usual and just drop it into the torso or what??

Ohhh good question I hadn’t thought of it yet

I think you put the cloth inside the torso first… then attach the limbs? but I could be way wrong… lol

I’ve tried to find a tutorial on bountiful baby or on YouTube but I haven’t found any that don’t have the connectors inside body

i think there are some Elisa Marx babies that have the same type of body… I wanna say Bajarni or something… I will try to find it after I fill out this paperwork for my daughters appointment…

It is Matjev… maybe try looking for info about him?

You put the cloth body inside the torso and fill the limbs. Then, you attach the arms and legs, fill the body and then attach the head as usual. Tada!! I’ve done a couple of Laura Lee babies like him.

So the arms and legs are attached to the cloth body and just hang loose through the torso openings?

I am not sure if it is loose… but the torso says it is a sleeve, and they attach to the cloth.

I gotta silly question, not sure if it’s been asked. Could I take Harper’s head and put on Angel’s body so Harper could be a girl ?

I bet you could! I wanted a Harper Girl too

Yep I’m pretty sure  That’s my plan too! He’s gonna make a pretty girl  especially with those gorgeous lips :kissing_heart:

I did Matvej about 8 months ago and he had a full vinyl body and a cloth body that went inside. Put the body into the vinyl one first, then do the weighting and poly-fill and attach the limbs and head. If you add the limbs first then you won’t be able to get the cloth body into the vinyl shell. Harper is a real cutie!!! Please post pictures when you finish him!!!

I’d do it if I needed a girl doll. I don’t see anything wrong with it

Thanks , JackieJo. I’ve never done a full body before. I just couldn’t visualize how the arms and legs will look once they are placed through the torso holes. They don’t attach in any way to the torso, do they?
